Leadership – when we listen the word, we come across several pictures in our sub conscious mind of various eminent personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Barack Obama, Narendra Modi, Anthony Robbins and many more. Leaders are the one who has various qualities which influences many followers. The leader guides the team, he mentors the team, at times motivates the team and considers the whole team as one entity and takes them along while implementing any decision.
But one question arises in my mind which of course is a topic to debate that are these leaders called as born leader or these traits can be inherited. If we talk about Mr. Mukesh Ambani who is a visionary and is excellent at planning and execution or about Mr. Anil Ambani who is excellent at oratory skills, or if we talk about the bollywood actor late Sh. Rajkumar or even about the legendary actor Mr. Amitabh Bachhan – were these great persons born as if they are known today or transformed by facing the obstacles of life and if we take the point that leaders are born leaders, then what is the probability that these qualities will be inherited by their successors or any example we take. My point is very clear that however we may feel that some people are born leaders, but leadership is like applying the quantum physics, the law of attraction , that what you think is what you become.
Leadership traits can be acquired over a period of time. They can be instilled if small leadership lessons are taught at the right place and at the right time. If we begin with an end in mind and put our consistent efforts in the right direction, we can acquire leadership traits, positive vibes will spill out from ourselves and would be influence the people around us. It’s like word of mouth, like network marketing, like connecting each other in a relay.
If we talk about the recent speech of our prime minister at the red fort, some people might say that he is a born leader. But it is actually all the facets of life that he had gone through, the minute things that he had observed from being a tea vendor to joining RSS to becoming the Chief Minister of Gujrat to holding the most important position of the country being the PM of India, he had learnt each and every lesson of leadership in his journey of Success.
“Success is a journey , not a destination.”
