Dear Readers,
Many-a-times we see and feel that many people feel boredom at some or the other point of their lives. Sometimes an employee sitting in his office place feels this boredom, while at other times, the housewives sitting at their homes feels this boredom. Somebody is bored due to their excess work-load and monotonous job, while someone feels bored due to lack of work-in-hand. Whatever be the conditions, situations or circumstances, boredom is becoming an unwanted part of everyone’s life. It needs to be filtered like the algae. Now the question that arises here is, how to remove this lazy giant called boredom from everyone’s life and move towards leading a happy and satisfactory life. If we keep the following points in our mind, they may prevent us from getting into the trap of this mammoth-like structure called boredom:
Keep Yourself Busy in Some or the other Work:
If you are getting bored by sitting idle and just doing nothing, then you need to occupy yourself with some work. You may help the people living in your neighbourhood or the ones with whom you are closely attached with, or you may find some good work of your interest. Invest your time to find such a job and once you have found your passion, just do it with your full concentration. Your mind will work towards that work, your sub-conscious mind will give signals of what-to-do-next and in the process, you will not feel bore anymore.
Take a Break in-between:
If you are doing a routine work for a long interval of time, then you are bound to feel fatigue or boredom. To prevent yourself from getting tired, take breaks in between. These breaks could be just for a small interval of time: perhaps 5 to 15 minutes in which you could just go for a walk, or move around your corridor or at garden place, listen to a song or have a nice chat with your friend or colleague. By doing so, you would be filled with a refreshed energy and would feel to do your work in a jolly mood. Getting the breaks in between your work adds a new flavour to your work.
Innovate the work process:
If you feel bored in doing the same job again and again for a long period of time, then its the time to bring in your creativity to work. Try to think out of the box and do the routine work with a new way, adding some innovation to it. Try doing your work with a different perspective, that work which you have been doing for a long time. For example, if you read your newspaper daily from the first page to the last page, try something different this time. Try reading it from the last page to the first page. This added bits of innovation will lead you away from the boredom which enters into your mind by the same and monotonous work culture.
Look at the Brighter Side:
Life has got two aspects: one the positive side and the other being the negative one. If we always keep looking at the negative side of life, our mind will get used to that negativity. For example, if I put a black dot on a white piece of paper, and ask you what you have observed. If your answer is that you have observed that black dot, that is the beginning of negative attitude. While if you say that you observed just the white space of the sheet, then that would be the start of the positive attitude. In life also, maintain this positive attitude and always look at the bright side of the nature. Keep an attitude of gratitude and this positive attitude will keep you away from the slow poison called the boredom.
“Negativity is like a dark room. You keep them for a long time, it will multiply faster”
